I absolutely loved Amsterdam. Here's a shot of me and the canals. |
This is exactly what it looks like from the top of the Hollenkollen ski jump in Oslo, very very scarey. I wouldn't catch me skiing down that. |
This is a good shot of me in one of the main streets in Oslo. It was very brrrr. |
I really enjoyed the tour of Belfast, we went through all the dodgy areas but I learnt a lot about the political situation there. This is one of the many murals you find all over Belfast, which is usually a dedication to someone who was murdered. |
This is Giants Causway, perfect hexagonal shaped rocks rise from ground in this area which is an amazing sight. Apparently volcanic activity formed this structure, 60 million years ago. |
Northern Ireland is one of the most beautiful places I've been too. This is a shot of the coastline near the Giants Causway. |
Toured the Guinness factory in Dublin and this is the photo if you don't believe me. The free pint was delish. |

The Principality of Monaco is a bit of a flash place for me. |
I did some paragliding in Interlaken. In short you jump off the side of a mountain with a parachute. It was better than what I thought. |
Some professional olympic divers were diving into the river in Zurich by means of a helicopter. It would swoop down and pick them up from the water and then rise to a good height and do it all over. |
I did a bike tour of Munich and on part of the river a permanent wave gave surfers a ride a long way from any beaches. |
Some workers asked me to hold this while they were on their smoko (break). |
Most photos of the Collesuem are from the outside, this is what it looks like from inside. |
Mt Vesuvius was responsible for covering Pompei with ash only 17 yrs after it had been leveled by an earthquake, they had a bit of a rough trot. |
After learning about Pompei as a kid it was amazing to see it for real as a big kid. |

Did some deals on Miami Beach with some Columbian friends of mine |

I left my home town, Perth in April of 2000 for a working holiday in Europe. I worked in London for about 12 months and travelled for 5. I travelled around the USA for a month which included New York, Florida and California. I later went to Scandanavia, the Middle East and Europe. I enjoyed every moment of it, well almost, but well worth the time and money. Here's some photos you may enjoy. There's also a number of links that I used in my preparation for travel, as well as while on the road.
Some of the hightlights were touching snow in New York (for the first time in my life), ice skating in Central Park and skiing in Norway (first time). I was in Gallipoli for ANZAC Day in 2001, I swam in the Dead Sea, sailed down the Nile in Egypt and saw the pyramids. Island hopped in the Greek islands, saw art in Italy and watched the Running of the Bulls in Spain. Egypt I think was my favorite.
So you dont have to guess, the underlined text contains the photos. Some of the photos are larger than others so will take longer to load, but be patient, there's some excellent shots. |

This is my favorite photo for sure. No need to explain where it was taken. What an experience it was, cruising down the Nile in a boat for two days then seeing the pyramids. I was able to go inside the largest one, Cheops. The middle pyramid in the photo looks the largest but the 3rd one is Cheops. |
I started my tour flying from London to Istanbul, went to Gallipoli for ANZAC Day. After two weeks in Turkey, got the bus down through Syria, spent 3 days in Jordan and on to Egypt for another 2 weeks. |
